World’s Largest Edible Mushroom Found in China

Villagers in Yunnan, China, have found the world’s largest edible mushroom, as confirmed by the World Record Association, according to Shanghaiist

The mushroom stands 38 inches high and weighs 182 pounds. 

The Huffington Post reported in July that the world’s largest mushroom is in Oregon’s Malheur National Forest. It is 2,400 years old and covers 2,200 acres. 

The Guinness World Record for the largest collection of mushroom-related items belongs to Shara Hoffman, who has with 263 different mushroom-related items.
