While mainstream media news organizations in the United States have spent the better part of the past three years lying to their audiences—peddling falsehoods about Russian collusion, nonexistent obstruction of justice, and myriad other hypotheticals regarding the Trump administration—The Epoch Times has produced the most comprehensive and fact-based reporting on the efforts by Obama-era officials against the 2016 Trump campaign, a scandal that’s become known as “Spygate.”

A commitment to journalistic integrity isn’t cherry-picking facts that subscribe to one’s own political predilections. It’s following the facts, wherever they may lead, and simply reporting on them.

Responsible opinion commentary and analysis should still be based on facts and knowledge gained from reporting, not rampant speculation.

When it comes to political reporting and commentary, both MSNBC and NBC have failed their audiences over the past few years. Their attacks on The Epoch Times should be a clear sign that they are threatened by truth and accountability.

“MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, known for her biased coverage of the Trump administration and for getting the Trump–Russia collusion story wrong, dedicated a whole 30 minutes of prime-time television to us on Aug. 20,” Jasper Fakkert, editor-in-chief of the U.S. editions of The Epoch Times, wrote. “Maddow and the NBC reporters dismiss but do not provide a single point of factual rebuttal to our extensive coverage of the actions by Obama-era officials to target the Trump campaign in 2016, which have become known as ‘Spygate.’”

“Instead, Maddow engages in a description of Spygate that borders on lunacy, saying the scandal is ’something about Donald Trump saving America from satanic Democratic pedophiles,’” he wrote, citing Maddow.

NBC News and MSNBC, breaking with established, responsible journalistic practices, even ignored an official statement that was sent from The Epoch Times, and pushed lies in multiple segments.

In an era of fake news, these types of salacious hit pieces actually spotlight news organizations that readers are able to trust.

They say you will know a tree by the fruit it bears.

It was Maddow who misled her audience for more than two years by promoting the false narrative that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election, only to be proven wrong with the publication of the report by special counsel Robert Mueller.

The Epoch Times is committed to real and factual journalism and doesn’t toe the party line as political acolytes in blind allegiance to partisan ideology, at the expense of professional integrity. The Epoch Times is committed to getting the story right.

And if The Epoch Times is under assault for maintaining those core values, it tells you everything you need to know about the media organizations that attack it.
