The Westminster Kennel Club (WKC) 135th Annual Dog Show is currently being hosted at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, N.Y.

Terrier, sporting and working dogs are being judged at the moment. The Best of Show judging will take place tonight. A black cocker spaniel stole the spotlight in the sporting group. Linda Moore and her family bred the 3-year-old dog.

All hound, toy, non-sporting, and herding breeds and varieties were judged yesterday.

Running first place for hounds is a Scottish deerhound named Hickory. A Pekingese won first for the toys group, and a bearded collie won for herding. For the first time, a Chinese Shar-Pei, Miss Jayne Hathaway, took first place for non-sporting.

The WKC Dog Show is one of the most prestigious dog shows in the world. Approximately 2500 dogs of 179 breeds entered the competition this year.

The competition is ongoing and broadcast live on USA Network and CNBC. Further updates will be available when the results for remaining groups are announced.
