The Golden State Warriors became the second team in NBA history to record a 70-win season, beating off San Antonio Spurs 112-101 on April 7.

Stephen Curry scored 27 points Thursday night, which gave the team an automatic advantage throughout the playoffs.

“Two teams in the history of this game have reached where we are right now,” Curry said. “It’s a proud moment and something that should be recognized.”

But the big reason Thursday’s victory was such a highlight is that there are high hopes that the Warriors just might break the Chicago Bulls 1995-1996 record of 72 wins.

However, the Warriors have yet to win their last three games before we can see any record-breaking. They will be playing against Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night and with Spurs in San Antonio on Sunday night.

The Warriors will finish off the season at Oracle Arena on April 13 against the Grizzlies.
