A video shows a waitress pulling a gun on a customer after he stormed behind the counter and punched a manager.

Milwaukee police are now looking for the suspect.

Surveillance footage taken in late June shows a black man with long braided hair punching a female manager in a George Webb restaurant. Then, the waitress pulls out a handgun from her apron and points it at him. The man retreats but continues to shout at them before he leaves.

“We were alerted to an incident that took place at our Mitchell Street location on June 29 and are working directly with the injured employee, store manager and franchise owner to review the events,” George Webb restaurants said in a statement to Epoch Times. “The safety and security of our employees and patrons is our top priority. We are working with our team, and local law enforcement to assess current security measures and determine next steps.”

The incident started, according to WKOW, when the man began yelling at the waitress. She then told him to get out of the establishment before he rushed behind the counter.

Alder Bob Donovan, a local elected official, told the station that the attack reveals the sad state of the city of Milwaukee.

“It’s so sad that we have gotten to the point that a waitress working at a legitimate restaurant trying to eke out a living in my district feels they have to arm themselves for their own protection,” Donovan said.

“I was shocked and disgusted quite frankly that any man would treat a woman that way, number one, but be so bold and so aggressive in assaulting her,” Donovan added to WBTV.

The manager told WKOW that the waitress, who was not identified, has a concealed carry permit. She ended up quitting her job that night. The manager suffered a concussion, but she’s back at work.

The manager told WBTV that the suspect was a regular customer, and he was angry that the food was taking too long.

“I thank God that the one waitress had a concealed carry and pulled out her gun,” Donovan said. “I shudder to think what might have happened had she not been able to do that. What this guy would’ve done.”
