Officials are searching for a man who was seen on video throwing bottles and beating up employees in two robbery incidents in New York City stores, according to reports.

The New York City Police department released the video footage on Sept. 10. According to Fox News, the man attacked an employee at Seward Park Liquors on Manhattan’s Lower East Side around 12:45 p.m. on Sept. 9, demanding that the employee give him cash. The attacker then beat him with a bottle before throwing bottles at him.

The footage shows the man taking money from the register. About $200 was stolen, Fox reported, citing police.

The victim’s father, John DeBlasio, who is the owner, told ABC7 in New York, “He was throwing bottles like crazy, like 10 bottles.”

He noted: “He was a loose cannon. He was out of his mind. (My son” just said, ‘Calm down, take it easy.’")

“My son has a heart of a lion, a heart of gold,” DeBlasio added. “He didn’t want to hurt him.”

Later, the man can be seen at another store, beating and bunching an 88-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man who both worked at the store, the report said. The man was hit with several jars and a large ceramic pot, said police.

The employees were taken to the hospital and are in serious yet stable condition.

Police said the suspect is a black man who is bald and about 45 to 60 years old. In the first incident, he wore an orange tank top, red sneakers, and blue jeans. In the second incident, he wore and orange T-shirt, blue jeans, and an orange baseball cap.

Other details about the incident are not clear.

The NYPD said that witnesses are urged to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers for tips, according to NBC New York.
