Have you ever seen a nana move quite like “Mama C”? Her dancing feet are on fire!
When Mama C’s cooking dinner, the kitchen gets more than a perfunctory look-in; this incredible multi-tasker swept the floor with her epic dance moves to Vanilla Ice’s divisive hit single “Ice Ice Baby,” and the internet is loving her for it.
While the family member behind the camera loses herself in fits of giggles, and a semi-mortified, semi-impressed grandson laughs from the sidelines, Mama C gets down. The awesome, uplifting footage is so good that the Colie family simply had to share it on YouTube, where it has 9.7 million views and counting.
We’re not so sure about “Ice Ice Baby” anymore; it’s more like “Go Go Grandma!”
As the music starts, Mama C pops her hips and bops her head from side to side, keeping a straight face the whole time. Dancing is a serious business, after all. Even the family dog gets unwittingly involved at one point, swept up in Mama C’s arms for the rousing chorus.
Prizes for anyone who manages to keep their cool as the groovy grandma kicks her slippers off! Smooth moves meet comic timing in Mama C; she’s a dancing force to be reckoned with.
Viewers seem to be just as bowled over by the feisty grandmother’s kitchen workout as we are. “Why do you young people think we have no moves?” posed an older viewer, speaking on behalf of the elderly dancer. “Kids, we invented moves!”
“I always dance with my dog,” added a fellow 1990s revival fan. “[I] was wondering when she was going to pick him/her up!”
“That is absolutely fantastic!” wrote another viewer. “I hope this is me when I get older.” We should all hope the same. According to the Huffington Post, it doesn’t matter whether it’s the Electric Slide, a conga line, or “your own crazy moves,” because dancing is really good for you!
It’s a great cardio workout, it’s social (especially if dogs and grumpy grandsons get involved), and can improve your balance, flexibility, and muscular endurance. Dancing can also boost your overall mental health by upping your happiness reserves.
While Mama C’s rendition doesn’t quite have the production value of a Vanilla Ice music video, there’s something charming and uniquely hilarious about the curly haired grandma’s impromptu kitchen performance. The tiny lady also proves her formidable multi-tasking skills as she continues to make dinner throughout her entire routine!
All together now: “Old age goals!”
Where else can u get good food and awesome entertainment, go mama, go mama, go, go, go!

Mama C doesn’t need our encouragement, and she has no time for the haters. She’s on a mission to have fun, and her lust for life is completely contagious. The only thing left to wonder is whether Vanilla Ice has caught wind of Mama C yet?
Keep it up, gutsy grandma; you’re an inspiration! Also, who else has a craving to listen to 90s pop songs now? Thought so.
