Vhong Navarro, a prolific Instagram user, has stayed off the service for a week now after getting beaten.

Navarro, a host on ABS-CBN, frequently posts on Instagram of events he attends and outfits that he’s wearing. He has over 500,000 followers.

He was beaten by a group of men led by businessman Cedric Lee on January 22. Lee and Deniece Cornejo accused Navarro of trying to rape Cornejo, but CCTV footage backed up Navarro’s story that he was blackmailed into saying that he did.

Navarro’s last post on Instagram was on January 22. In one of his trademark posts, he showed off a new pair of sunglasses and shoes, thanking Mark Channy for the TRAFFIC footwear shoes and Magno Optical for the glasses.

Navarro is recovering in a hospital from his injuries.

His manager Chito Roño said that the actor and TV host is too scared to be left alone.

“There were moments that he is afraid to be left alone. He always wants to have friends to talk to,” he told reporters on Friday, reported the Philippine Inquirer.

Roño was asked what Navarro had said about reports that other women may have been victims of sexual abuse by him in the past. Roño said that Navarro was not watching television because it wouldn’t help him rest.

“We want him to sleep as much as possible because of his traumatic experience,” he said.
