Animal lovers may just have a new reason to enjoy going to a baseball game. “Jake the Diamond Dog” has shown that a dog can go out and make it in the world of sports by becoming a bat-boy for teams across America.
Now, if they’d only let dogs play the sport!
Jake the Diamond Dog is at the @TinCaps game, and he's still amazing.

Jake was filmed carrying a basket filled with water bottles to an umpire, during the Fort Wayne TinCaps/South Bend Cubs game at Parview Field this past Monday.
Proving to be quite the professional water-boy, Jake waited for the umpire to finish his drink before he took his basket to leave the playing field.
The video became viral after ABC sports anchor Zach Groth shared it on social media, as seen above.
While Jake makes for an excellent water-boy, according to The Huffington Post, he is more than just a mere water-boy. Reportedly, Jake is also trained to deliver the ball used in the game to the pitcher, take towels to the umpire, and shag foul balls.
Jake even has a Facebook page that gives out a schedule of games he’ll appear at.
According to People, his trainer, Jeff Marchal, said that, “He has lived a life of touring North America in the luxury of his own custom truck and many nice hotels … When he gets to the ballparks he’s met with adoration and affection by all ages.”
