Sunday, May 14 For Mother’s Day, Alain Ducasse’s French bistro will serve an extensive brunch menu of French dishes made with spring ingredients, such as roasted halibut with white asparagus, Parmesan, and citrus; lobster salad with celery root rémoulade, Granny Smith apple, and black truffle; and filet mignon aux poivres with peppercorn sauce. Saturday, May 13–Wednesday, July 19 Urbanspace returns with its lineup of pop-up outdoor markets, beginning with Mad. Sq. Eats near Madison Square Park this weekend; then Broadway Bites (near 33th Street) and Urbanspace Garment District, both opening in June. Cherry Blossom Dish at Suzuki

Until mid- to late May Cherry blossom season is a significant marker of spring in Japanese cuisine. For Suzuki’s kaiseki (multicourse meal), chef Takashi Yamamoto is serving a traditional clear soup featuring a cherry blossom-flavored rice cake wrapped in a salted cherry blossom leaf, garnished with seasonal vegetables cut into cherry blossom shapes. Through Friday, September 15 Wtrmln Wtr, cold-pressed watermelon juice made from blemished melons that would otherwise be discarded, will be available at a pop-up retail location in SoHo. The shop will also host fitness classes throughout the summer, including spin, yoga, and dance classes. The brand is backed by singer Beyoncé and former football player Michael Strahan.
