This kitty just cannot get over the overwhelming grief the loss of her owner has caused. Even after a year has passed, she still spends all her time at her owner’s grave.
Keli Keningau Prayitno, 28, from Central Java, Indonesia, heard the kittie’s cries when she happened to be at the graveyard. She was deeply touched by the little cat’s devotion and love for her deceased owner and tried hard to take her along with her, hoping to adopt her.
Someone tried to adopt the kittie, but she was back the next day at the grave
The next day, the cat was back at the grave of her owner. She spends all her time at the grave, except for when she goes to her owner’s children’s house when she gets hungry. They feed her and then she is back at the graveyard.
Passersby try to give her food and water, but the cat is really not interested in anything. Nothing seems to lure her. All she wants to do is to roll in the earth and spend her night sleeping at the grave.
“It’s very sad to see. It shows just how close animals are to their owners”
“She sleeps there and meows, ” Keli told The Mirror. “It’s very sad to see. It shows just how close animals are to their owners.”
It may appear to us that cats do not care and are selfish and aloof, but animal experts say that cats feel very intensely the pain of losing their owners, and can go into a state of depression. They can become extremely anxious and moody. It is good to take them to see a vet and consider anti-anxiety medication for the grieving and anxious cat.
