Steven Califf from Rockford, Illinois, used to work on steam turbines in nuclear power plants.
On and off over three years, on his own time, he turned his backyard barbeque grill into a steam engine.
In a video, he shows how he built the machine, taking us along to see the boiler, the firebox, where the steam lets out.
And, most importantly, where you cook the barbeque.
“Chicken’s looking good, it’s going to be done in about a half hour,” he says.
