This mountain trail found at the Kishtwar District of the Jammu region in Jammu and Kashmir, India, is known for two things. First, it is a dangerous area to trek. Second, it is mesmerizing to look at. You can take a look for yourself during the filming of a motorcycle ride. At the base of the Kishtwar Kailash mountain, you’ll either be relieved or envious that you are looking at this through the convenience of a computer screen.
I’m goin’ up the country, baby don’t you want to go?
I’m goin’ to some place, I’ve never been before
I’m goin’ I’m goin’ where the water tastes like wine
I’m gonna leave this city, got to get away
All this fussin’ and fightin’ man, you know I sure can’t stay
No use in your runnin’, or screamin’ and cryin’
‘Cause you got a home as long as I’ve got mine
According to NTD Television, “It’s incredibly disorienting to look over the edge, or even just to see the valleys a couple thousand feet below you. It’s a mind numbing vertical drop of hundreds of meters so you might want to give it a miss on a windy day. The surface of the road is gravel, stones and sand and it’s carved into the side of a cliff. The one lane path had no guard rail and the overhanging cliff is so low that the cars barely fit, with over a 2,000ft drop, and rocks hanging down obstructing your view of oncoming traffic.”
