‘The Office’ Actor Hugh Dane’s Cause of Death Is Revealed

The cause of death for “The Office” actor Hugh Dane was revealed in a new report.

Dane, who played the security guard Hank in the hit series passed away on May 16, 2018, according to reports.

TMZ reported over the weekend that he died of pancreatic cancer, according to his death certificate. He was 75.

Rainn Wilson, Steve Carrell, and Mindy Kaling paid tribute to their co-star earlier this month.

“RIP Hugh Dane, aka Hank the security guard,” Wilson said on Twitter. “He was one of the greats. So kind, funny, talented. We will all miss him.”

“What a terrific guy,” Carrell tweeted.

“Hugh Dane was one the funniest actors ever,” said Kaling. “I loved writing and acting with him.”

He’s best known for his role in “The Office,” but he appeared in films and TV shows such as “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,” “Roc,” and “Bridesmaids.”

News of his death was announced on May 26 by the Los Angeles Inner City Cultural Center, People magazine reported, adding that the information was posted on its Facebook.

“A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend,” the flyer said.
