When “MaxMan TV” went out on the streets to do some good for the homeless living in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, the video team was heartbroken by the story of single dad Ruslie and his two daughters.
When Ruslie decided he wanted to practice a new faith, his family ostracized both him and his daughters, kicking them to the street.
They did reasonably well for a while, living in Ruslie’s truck as a semi driver.
His company discovered what they were doing, though, and he lost his job—leaving the three living under a bridge for a full six months before “MaxMan TV” discovered them.
The trio were clean, and their things were organized, with Ruslie doing his best to keep some sense of order in their heartbreaking temporary shelter. He lamented that the bridge left the girls with nowhere to study, but he only made just 15 Malaysian ringgit (the equivalent of around $4 US dollars) a day recycling cans.
Inspired by the incredible strength Ruslie showed in the face of tremendous adversity, MaxMan decided to give back—and made sure that Ruslie and his daughters got the surprise of a lifetime.
It started with the video host paying for a few nights in a hotel for the family, followed up by a day of simply stress-free fun. They were brought to a trampoline park, the mall for new clothes, and out to dinner twice. They then managed to catch a movie as well before heading back to the hotel.
The biggest surprise of all, though, was yet to come! Watch and see the reaction when MaxMan makes an offer that they never expected!
