A small plane has disappeared inside the Bermuda Triangle in the western part of the Atlantic Ocean.

Known as the Devil’s Triangle, a number of aircraft and ships have disappeared in the region under mysterious circumstances, spawning a significant number of theories involving paranormal activity and aliens.

Four people who were on board the plane are missing, officials told ABC News this week.

The Coast Guard has recovered debris and parts of the small MU-2B plane, which disappeared some 15 miles east of the Bahamas.

Those on the plane were identified as 40-year-old Jennifer Blumin from New York, her young two sons, and Nathan Ulrich from New Hampshire

“There’s no indication of significant adverse weather at the time,” Lt. Cmdr. Ryan Kelly, a Coast Guard spokesman, was quoted by The Associated Press as saying.

The incident is currently under investigation.
