If there is anything that makes the world go around, call it kindness. The simple act of helping someone. Not because they need it. Not because you think they’re deserving. Not because you owe them anything, You just help them because you can.

There are numerous ways that people can show kindness, and a group of kids showed its real meaning on a holiday shopping day to random families who were out shopping for groceries.

Shoppers were taken aback being bombarded by groups of kids who popped up out of nowhere.

The first woman jumped once one of the girls tapped her on the shoulder, but once she realized what was going on, her reaction was, “Oh gosh, no!”

“No, there’s way too many,” she said, brought to tears by the children’s kind gesture. After taking a moment to compose herself, she admitted that her family “really needed this.”

The children’s holiday act of kindness had come just at the right time.

The kids went on to pay groceries for various families that they selected at random. These kids could not help themselves but just smile as the watched their acts of kindness help real people.

And these shoppers who were shopping at Fred Meyers could not help themselves but cry when these little kids clad in Practice Kindness T-shirts approached them and offered to pay for them. Anybody watching the video would smile as well.

The next few encounters were no less touching.

When this man learned what was going on, his first reaction was “Wow! Are you serious?!”

He then revealed that he was actually going to be meeting his grandchildren for the first time today, and asked the children for their opinion on the gifts he meant to purchase.

“This is so special, because it’s the first time I get to meet her,” he said. “There are good people in this world who care.”

The Practice Kindness movement and organization was created by Dale Lovett back in 2012, to inspire people to surprise others with acts of kindness. And it’s so touching to see that children of all ages have taken it to heart as well.
