Dogs certainly have good hearing, and are capable of noticing sounds that are otherwise too high-pitched for humans, but could they also have an ear for music? The Vienna Chamber Orchestra recently hosted an outside performance in Çesme, Turkey, during the 31st International Izmir Festival, and they were surprised to receive a visit onstage from an unexpected, four-legged guest.
The dog appeared to be fond of one of the violinists in particular, standing right near him, and eventually lying down next to him and yawning.
Audience members loved what was happening on stage and offered a few rounds of applause for the dog.
Reportedly, the musicians themselves found it funny and forced themselves not to laugh. Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say praised the incident on social media.

Only a dog could show up to such a formal affair, lie down and yawn — without even paying, I might add — and steal the show!
At this time, nobody is sure why the dog was on stage. It is suspected that he was likely a stray, but this remains unconfirmed. Hopefully, if the dog is a stray, he will find a new home and family soon, and his new celebrity status will probably help see that he does. Either way, he already has a new best friend in that violinist!
