Necessity can bring out the best in us, but it usually doesn’t come until after some adversity and a little bit of cursing. Not from this guy, though. He is happy as ever to have basically built his own car out of what he could find! Well, maybe it’s not a car, parse, but give the guy major respect for building a mode of transportation that works!
Carl Jung once said, “The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.” I think that applies to new inventions equal to any invention that already exists, but is new to you!
We are not sure if this thing-a-ma-bob was built of necessity or for pure pleasure. Based on the size of the smile on the creator’s face, I’m going to guess a little if each was somehow involved. And that, my friend, is admirable no matter which way you look at it. We have nothing but respect for anyone who “invents” something because each time they do, the world gets a little smarter, a little better, and there is the chance that the smiles of creators are contagious enough to inspire others.
