Michael Telapary is at the Animu Luce Horse Farm in Belgium. He plays on a High Spirits Contra Bass Flute in F# for a few of his horses. Do you know what kind of affect music can have on horses? Watch and see how the horses react to Michael’s playing. You just might be surprised.

The study on the effect music has on animals is one of the most interesting and fascinating areas of animal behavior. British researcher, Clare Carter, of Hartpury College in Gloucester, England, has dome some extensive research in this area.  One of her documented conclusions was that horses prefer classical and country music and those also hold the best health benefits for them.

They actually found that horses respond to classical and country music the way they would if there no music at all, whereas other genres like rock and jazz stressed them out.
