A Colorado man reunites with the baby whose life he saved.

Doctors believe Justin Jr., had heat stroke. He had a check-up on Monday and is doing fine.

The last time Jon Province held this little boy, he was lifeless. Two families, strangers, brought together through an incredible act of kindness.

“This is your guardian angel,” said the boy’s mother Vanessa Navarrete.

Navarrete was on her way to Greeley last Friday with her children and mother in town when Justin Jr.’s eyes rolled back in his head. She pulled the car to a screeching halt.

“I’m holding my baby and his mouth was so blue to where I didn’t know. I don’t know what to do at this point,” said Navarrete.

At that moment, Province was heading to a carpet cleaning job. He saw the family, flipped a U-turn and ran to the mother.

Province said, “She just straight up handed me her child and said, ‘He can’t breathe. He can’t breathe.’”

Province sprang into action. His former CPR training kicked in.

Province said, “C’mon give me a cry. Give me a cry. Let me hear you.”

But little Justin was fading in and out. Then, suddenly, the moment they were desperately waiting for.

“We finally hear this big loud cry coming from inside the ambulance,“ said Province. ”After I heard that, I had chills and just pure relief.”

Paramedics rushed junior to the hospital. But Province’s compassion didn’t end there. After his carpet cleaning job, he dropped off toys for Justin at the emergency room.

“I don’t think I’m a hero,“ said Province. ”I’m just a good Samaritan just trying to do what I can to help others.”

Through this frantic time, a lifelong friendship has now formed.

“It’s like we are going to keep him in our family, no matter if he likes it or not. He’s gonna be there,” said Navarrete.
