This roller coaster might not be suitable for everyone.
The man—who was riding on the “slingshot” ride with his girlfriend—passed out several times, which you would think is hard to do, given the speed in which they were traveling at a g-force of 3 to 5 Gs.
But this is not as uncommon as you might think, as Dr. Ghajar, a neurosurgeon at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York, says.
At 5 Gs, riders will feel five times heavier. As they accelerate, riders experience a sinking feeling, and as the ride turns, it may throw their head from side to side, which can potentially harm the brain.
“If you feel something like a bad headache, or confusion, or dizziness when you get off the ride, get it checked out,” said Ghajar.
