33-year-old Justin Pounders was giddy with excitement over the thought of him and his fiancée becoming husband and wife.

Adrianne Roberts was the love he had always hoped for, and she felt the same way toward him. On the morning Justin arrived with a moving truck to help Adrianne move in with him, he was feeling happy that this was another step in the journey on their road in life together.

He expected his fiancée but arrived at a crime scene instead.

Those feelings all came to a crashing halt the moment Justin arrived at Adrianne’s apartment. The place was a crime scene filled with police and investigators who were starting to piece what had happened together.

However, the worst was immediately clear—Adrianne was dead.

ABC Action News reported that she had been followed by a man to her apartment the night before. They said the man allegedly assaulted and killed Adrianne. It was a devastating blow to Justin, and he could hardly grasp that this was really happening. His fiancée was gone, and his life was forever changed.

Justin had no idea how to handle such a tragedy.

What followed for Justin was a deep depression that left him questioning whether he would ever find love again.

He moved to Orlando to be away from the things that triggered memories of Adrianne. Justin’s mother worried endlessly and hoped that one day he would recover the rest of his life and perhaps find love once again.

“She would pray every night for me to find someone that would make me happy,” Justin said in an interview with ABC News.

He tried to move on.

Justin was simply not sure how to go about putting the tragedy behind him, but the day finally arrived when he felt ready enough to try.

He moved back to the city he had moved from and joined Match.com. He perused the countless profiles, thinking maybe, just maybe, there was another person for him.

And then he met someone, but not by coincidence.

One of those profiles caught his eye. Her name was Amy, and he made the decision to get in contact with her and give dating a try. He had no clue that Amy was about to rock his world in an incredible way.

She even sounded familiar to Justin for some reason. He had always liked that name but was never quite sure why, but then then he remembered something.

“I think I had a crush on a girl name Amy back in preschool,” said Justin.

It was indeed, that Amy.

Yes, he did, and it was that same Amy from Match.com.

Amy Giberson was Justin’s first love. Justin’s mom even took a picture of Amy 30 years ago and had kept it over the years to remind her son.

Was it all because of a certain guardian angel?

The people who knew Adrianne all agreed that she would want Justin to move on.

“Everybody knew that she would not want me to be saddened by myself forever,” said Justin.

When Justin and Amy ended up hitting it off together, they both felt that it was Adrianne somehow had a hand in it. She, they believe, is their guardian angel.

A story shared is love multiplied.

“You don’t find love, it finds you. It has to do with destiny,” said Amy, who was as stunned by how all of this happened as anyone. She felt compelled to write her story, and she shared it with ABC Action News. Amy wrote:

“Wild match story. You really won’t believe it.

I met my boyfriend when we were both 32. We met on match.com. Didn’t have a single friend in common, that we knew of. Found out we lived in the same town almost our entire lives. Discovered we shared mutual friends. Went to events on the same night, attended the same gatherings of mutual friends on the same nights but never met. He told me when we started dating that he liked my name because his first crush was a girl named Amy in preschool. So you could imagine our surprise & amazement when a month later we learned not only did we attended the same preschool at the same time but we were actually preschool sweethearts.”

Another picture emerged from Mom.

It was a whopper of a love story that the local news stations simply couldn’t ignore. And as if things couldn’t get more surreal, Justin’s mom located the couple’s preschool class picture, and they were sitting right next to one another!

They believe in a bright future ahead.

The two lovebirds moved into a home together and soon married.

“He loves me like he’s never lost before,” described Amy. “I don’t know how he does it but he does it without effort. He’s the happiest, silliest, most outgoing, genuine and loving man I’ve ever met, and I’m the luckiest woman in the world to have found him again and get to call him mine.”
