A little girl and her dog became local heroes after they saved a mother goat and her baby kid.
Hamdü Sena lives in Turkey with her family, who run a small farm where they raise milk-goats. Sena works as a goatherd for her family with the help of her dog Tomi. One day, she found that one of her goats went into labor in the snow on top of a hill, and would be too weak to move back near the farm on its own.
According to Bored Panda, “After the goat gave birth, I led the rest of the herd back to the farm,” she explained in a statement, “Then I grabbed two backpacks from the house and went back to the goat and her baby with Tomi.” Returning home, she carried the mother goat on her back and Tomi carried home the baby.
“The snow was so thick, I was exhausted,” she said. “But it was worth it.” The goat and her child were taken to safety as if they had not been in any danger. Fortunately, Sena’s brother had been able to take photos of Sena and the goats, with Tomi too, to immortalize what she had done. What a hero!
