During a three-day hiking trip with INOUT Adventure in Aconcagua, Argentina, the group was carefully crossing a gully.

Suddenly, one of the group leaders heard a sound similar to an airplane and knew it was a large incoming mud and rock slide.

The leaders yelled at the group to back away quickly from the gully. Luckily, everyone made it safely back just in time.

This is the season for avalanches and mudslides in Aconcagua. These group leaders were well-trained to keep their hiking participants safe, and it shows why it’s important to listen to any warnings about potential disasters in natural environments.
