When Taylor, a soon-to-be high school graduate, discovered that her grandmother would be unable to travel to see her receive her diploma at her high school’s graduation she decided to bring the graduation to her grandmother.
Since Taylor’s grandmother was still recovering from brain surgery and a bone marrow transplant a laptop with a livestream of the high school graduation was set up in her hospital room.
Although she wouldn’t be physically present to see her granddaughter walk across the stage, she could still see it happen in real time.
When it was almost time for Taylor’s name to be called everyone in the room was anxious. But instead of Taylor’s name being read like every other student, the announcer said that Taylor wasn’t in attendance.
