A man has been shot outside a restaurant in London, and a manhunt launched for the gunman.

Armed police responded to reports of a shooting on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 1 a.m., according to the Daily Star.

A man with a gunshot wound was discovered on the scene in Lambeth, south London.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the Met Police told the Daily Star, while the suspect remains at large, after the early morning incident.

The crime scene remained active in the vicinity of a chicken shop at Stockwell Road at 9 a.m.. The Daily Star reported that the area was cordoned off and traffic was being diverted as the police continued to search for clues.

“Police were called by the London Ambulance Service shortly after 1 a.m. on Wednesday, 10 January to reports of a shooting on Stockwell Road in Lambeth,” a spokesman for the Met Police told the Star.

“Officers, including firearms officers, attended. The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a stable condition. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“The Trident and Area Crime Command has been informed. There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.”

The incident comes after two teenagers were shot at a restaurant in east London on Friday, Dec. 29.

An unknown gunman opened fire at a fast food establishment on Terrace Road in Plaistow, just after 8.30 p.m, according to police, wounding the victims.

One of the youths sustained an injury to his back and the other to his leg.

The wounds were described as non-life threatening and at the time of reporting the victims were in stable condition at an east London hospital.
