Dog on walk finds half eaten pie in a bush—now he checks the same spot everyday

Dogs are famously easy to condition. If you’ve ever made a dog look around just by doing a throwing motion or gotten one to jump up excitedly just by hearing the word “walk,” you know exactly what I’m talking about. So, you could imagine how a dog would react after discovering food hidden in a bush.

When Chris Bramwell went on a walk with her dog, Dusty, last month, he noticed a strange scent coming from a nearby bush … It was half a pie! Now, every day since, he’s been checking that same bush to see if there are any rewards inside.

When Bramwell shared the story on Twitter, she got over 34,000 likes and over 6,000 retweets. She certainly wasn’t expecting all of the attention she got, but what was even more surprising was the comments section.

Person after person after person shared stories about their dogs returning to one special spot after having a “magic” chance encounter.

For some dogs, the obsession has lasted for years.

One story got pretty serious.

Yet another showed that humans can be just as foolish as dogs.

As for Dusty and the bush, though, he never found a pie again but he DID find a tennis ball recently! Could finding rewards in the bush be a monthly thing for him? Doubtful but still, the pup’s got to double, triple, even quadruple check!
