A customer at a Texas sports bar shot and killed a gunman, Fox-4 TV reported on Thursday.
The customer who opened fire had a concealed carry permit.
The gunman and an employee were both killed at Arlington’s Caliente Sports Bar & Grill. A third person was injured by glass, police said.
Approximately 12 customers were at the Dallas-area restaurant when a 48-year-old man walked in with a gun before opening fire at around 6 p.m. local time.

“He told his wife to get down and get away because he was carrying a firearm on his person. And he made the decision to engage the shooter at that point fearing there would be other loss of life or additional shooting at the restaurant,” said Arlington Police Lt. Chris Cook, Fox-4 reported.
“Based upon multiple witnesses who were inside the location, detectives believe that a male suspect entered the location and confronted an employee,” a police statement reads. “During this verbal confrontation, the suspect shot and killed the employee.”
The shooter’s motives are unknown. It’s unclear if he knew the victim.
