Five-year-old Clair Koch was performing Christmas songs along with the rest of her class for everyone’s parents.
But people in the audience soon noticed that one little blonde girl in the crowd was not just singing.
Clair was signing along with the song, using American Sign Language.
And it’s not because she’s deaf—but as her parents later explained as they posted a video online, Clair is a kid of deaf adults (KODA) and has been using sign language to communicate with her parents Tim and Lori Koch since she was a baby.
And not only is Clair signing, but the little girl is hilariously expressive throughout the performance.
We cannot handle how adorable this is:
Lori thought, when she uploaded the video, that maybe her friends would all enjoy it. She didn’t expect it to go viral overnight worldwide—but it’s easy to see why it did.
The video racked up millions of views quickly, and still makes the rounds every year during the holiday season despite being from 2013.
