Three swimmers found themselves in serious trouble near a beach some 200 miles south of Buenos Aires in Monte Hermoso, Argentina, when rough surf made it extremely difficult for them to swim back to shore. But even after lifeguards rushed to help them, beachgoers noticed they needed a few more helping hands.

Lifeguards jumped into action when they realized swimmers were struggling in the ocean.
People stood by on the beach and watched as the lifeguards battled high waves and swam towards the distressed swimmers. The waves were so high and there were so many white caps that at times it was difficult to see any of their heads bobbing up and down in the water.
The lifeguards finally reached the swimmers, but they also had a very difficult time returning to shore due to the extremely rough waves.
After seeing the lifeguards struggle with the rescue, several beachgoers decided to risk their lives and jump in the water.
Then another lifeguard joined the growing group of rescuers, and the group, now easily more than half a dozen, started to form what looked like a human chain towards the shoreline. Soon even more people from the beach rushed into the water.
They grabbed each other’s hands and pulled the lifeguards and swimmers to safety. When everyone was safely standing on dry ground, the crowd that gathered to watch gave everyone a well-deserved round of applause.
