Animals are smart creatures. They hunt, are brawny and have the strongest senses. Though they are tough, they too have a soft spot for babies! During a trip to Zoo Atlanta last year, a lion could not keep his eyes off a then 11-month-old dressed as a cub.
The toddler’s name is Aryeh, meaning lion in Hebrew, so that makes sense as to why a mother packed a lion’s costume in her son’s bag for his trip to the zoo with his godfather.
The toddler and the lion made a connection!
Aryeh’s godfather shared on Live Flare, “We saw that the lions were out and put Aryeh in his costume thinking we’d snap a picture of him with the lions in the background,” according to the Daily Mail.
He said the animals were more than curious about Aryeh and moved closer to the glass.
“The lions were immediately interested in our little lion cub, and it wasn’t long before they couldn’t stand their curiosity any longer and came right up to the glass.”
The video shows the lion coming over to Aryeh and pressing his paws on the glass. Both the lion and Aryeh commence a high five, but the toddler is unfazed by the lion.
The lion seems confused and scratches on the window as if he is trying to save Aryeh. When Aryeh moves, so does his furry new friend.
The animal seems fascinated by Aryeh and follows him from behind the glass.
“It’s a big you!” a woman behind the camera says to Aryeh. That moment was incredible for the family, and they named it “a great memory from our first little godfamily outing.”
This is just too cute
