If there’s one place you can always count on for an honest opinion it’s the Internet, and that’s just what 93-year-old Sylvia Martin was looking for.
Martin, who will marry 88-year-old Frank Raymond next month, recently went shopping for a wedding dress, and just like brides more than half her age she took along all of her bridesmaids for the exciting excursion.
The soon-to-be bride visited Birdsnest clothing store in Canberra, Australia and tried on several dresses. Like many others, she had a hard time deciding which dress to wear on her big day, so the store uploaded photos of Martin wearing four different dresses and asked everyone to vote.
Which dress should this 93-year-old bride wear on her wedding day?
What Should Sylvia Wear To Her Wedding?Sylvia, 93, visited our store with her bridesmaids in tow to help choose a dress…
The response to the post was overwhelming, and according to Canberra Times, dress “C” won. In addition to people voting for their favorite, many suggested Martin wear whatever she feels comfortable in, and one person even suggested purchasing all four.
“One for the ceremony, one for the reception, one for the honeymoon and one just in case!”
To make this story even cuter, Birdsnest posted that Martin and Raymond have known each other for more than 20 years. Over the years Raymond has asked Martin to marry him several times. Although Martin had feelings for Raymond, she always said no because she believed that taking a new surname would be disrespectful for her deceased husband.
Within the past year Martin fell ill and moved closer to her family. Once Martin’s health improved she set out to find Raymond and convinced him to move closer to her. He did and as they say, the rest is history.
