Trump’s Campaign Says He Raised $3 Million on Same Day Democrats Voted on Impeachment Resolution

President Donald Trump’s campaign manager stated that his reelection campaign raked in millions on the same day the House voted on a resolution related to the impeachment inquiry on Thursday.

The Democrats’ strategy to impeach Trump is “backfiring already,” tweeted Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager, on Friday morning.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) “impeachment resolution day turned into a MASSIVE fundraising day for” Trump, he added. He said that some $3 million was raised Thursday, accounting for $19 million in October 2019.

Parscale also assailed the Democratic leadership for pushing a false narrative and claimed Thursday’s vote “merely proves that the entire impeachment process was a sham from the beginning and Nancy Pelosi can’t legitimize it after the fact.”

As a result, Democrats will suffer at the polls in November of next year, he forecasted.

“Voters will punish Democrats who support this farce and President Trump will be easily re-elected,” Parscale said.

According to a CNN report, Reid Vineis, vice president for digital at Republican ad-buying firm Majority Strategies, said Trump’s campaign is running a tight ship.

Describing it as a “highly sophisticated operation,” Vineis said the campaign is “essentially building a database for the 2020 general election.”

In one instance this week, the Trump campaign bought a seven-figure ad buy including a nationally airing video during the final game of the World Series. It listed Trump’s accomplishments, including his fight against the ISIS terrorist group and efforts to bolster the U.S. economy.

On Oct. 1, a few days after House Democrats announced the inquiry into impeachment, the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee said it raised a combined $125 million in the third quarter.

“President Trump has built a juggernaut of a campaign, raising record amounts of money at a record pace,” Parscale said at the time of the large haul. “With our great partnership with the RNC and Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, we will reelect the president and win back the House of Representatives.”

After the announcement of the large campaign haul, a former Obama adviser said Democrats need to pay attention.

“This should be a giant wake up call. Trump is going to have more resources to deploy earlier and more aggressively than any candidate in history,” Dan Pfeiffer wrote on Twitter on Oct. 1.
