Tornado Touches Down in Oklahoma, Damage Reported

A tornado touched down in eastern Oklahoma near Tulsa, according to local officials on Aug. 19.

The tornado struck Chouteau, damaging several buildings and downing trees, according to the Mayes County Emergency Management office, KTUL reported.

Damage has been reported in Inola at Moore’s Fish Farm, Unrau Meat Processing, and Eden Mennonite Church, KTUL reported.

Chouteau Fire Chief Ted Key said that officials have responded to minor damage in the area, including downed trees.

No injuries were reported.
