Storms Head Northeast

Severe Weather Expert Henry Margusity said, “Not only will this outbreak be the worst of the season so far, due to a sluggish start in severe weather, but it may end up being one of the worst outbreaks of severe weather for the entire season,” in a statement from AccuWeather.

Numbers

More than 230 severe weather incidents have happened since Saturday.

Government

President Obama declared a major disaster in Arkansas on Tuesday. He ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the area affected by severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding on April 27.

Predictions

In the Appalachians, to the Atlantic coast, and the Great Lakes, 3 to 6 inches of rain may fall over the next two days.
