Tommy Lee Jones, the Oscar Award-winning actor, turned 64 on Wednesday, Sept. 15.

The Texas-born actor started his career on Broadway in 1969, appearing in A Patriot for Me and several other roles. He got his first film role in 1970, playing a Harvard undergrad in Love Story.

He won an Oscar for his supporting role in 1993‘s The Fugitive.

Jones is possibly best known for his work alongside Will Smith in the Men in Black movies.

Jones will reprise his role as Agent K in the third installment of the film, which is slated to come out in 2012.

Recent rumors alleged that Josh Brolin, who appeared alongside Jones in No Country for Old Men in 2007, would serve as Jones’ replacement in Men in Black 3.

However, according to an interview last week, Brolin said he’s “not replacing” Jones in the movie, but will appear as a younger version of Jones’ character.

“I feel like I spend too much time with Tommy anyway,“ Brolin told MTV. ”But now I’m looking at it from a different perspective. It’s very, very interesting.

“As you can tell I get nervous talking about it because I’m not there yet and hopefully it'll be alright. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.”
