Tolosa in Leyte Province was hit hard by Typhoon Haiyan, but no word had emerged from the town for days.

Finally, on Monday morning, the first photos and video was published.

And the first death count emerged early Tuesday, with the MDRRMC reporting 15 people died.

That’s 2 in Brgy. Brigida; 6 in Telegrafo; 3 in Opong; and 4 in San Roque.

Rain began pouring in Tolosa on Tuesday, because of the coming Cyclone Zoraida.

“If we look at the brighter side of this situation, rain is a blessing for everyone because now they can gather rainwater and drink it,” said the administrators of the Tolosa, Leyte Facebook page.
