The upcoming Thor 3 movie has been set up by the latest Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episode.
In the episode, Lady Sif of Asgard comes down to Midgard (Earth) to get help from Agent Coulson and his group to track down Lorelei, an Asgardian enchantress who escaped the dungeons of Asgard.
Lorelei is seducing men into joining her army.
At the end of the episode, [spoilers], Lady Sif and the bunch are successful and capture Lorelei.
Coulson asks Sif if she’s sure that Lorelei should be returned to Asgard so soon. Sif says that Odin ordered her back alive.
Movie Pilot notes that Odin’s fate after Thor 2 is unclear, after Loki tricks Thor and takes the throne.
“Now, there are some issues to think about. As far as we know, everyone in Asgard believes that Loki is dead. Loki is quite the trickster, as we all know. He tricked Odin to believing he was dead, disguised as the Asgardian guard. He tricked Thor into leaving Asgard, disguised as Odin himself. What’s even stranger is in the episode; Lady Sif tells Coulson that Lorelei had been locked in the dungeons of Asgard. Who else was locked away for his crimes? Loki! If you remember, the dungeons of Asgard were all transparent,” the website explains.
:So if Loki did indeed make contact with the imprisoned Lorelei; that is exactly where they would have met. In the episode, Lady Sif said that Lorelei escaped when the dark elves attacked Asgard and broke prisoners out of the dungeons; as seen in Thor: The Dark World. Sif adds that she used Loki’s secret pathways to get to Earth. Sound familiar? Even Thor himself said that Loki was the only one who knew how to use the secret passage ways. Thus further proving that Loki must have had some contact with Lorelei.”
Further, the order from Odin could have come from Loki disguised as Odin.
The speculation is that the real Odin isn’t back on the throne. “Let me assure you that there is a 99% chance that is not the case,” says Movie Pilot. “Loki would have not have been revealed and cliff hung for no reason. Rest assured, Loki’s plan is how it’s all going tie in somehow.”
