Are you right-brain or left-brain dominant? Knowledge is power; your brain dominance can tell you a lot about your inherent personality traits and the way you think. We can help you find out.
The two hemispheres of your brain certainly look alike, and they are intricately connected by bundles of nerve fibers forming a complex “information highway.” However, there’s a huge difference in the way that they process information, says Healthline. We have the research of psychobiologist and Nobel Prize winner Roger W. Sperry, hailing from the 1960s, to thank for this insight.

The first image you saw here will reveal what kind of mind power you have:
1. A roaring tiger’s head
Your brain dominance: The left hemisphere of your brain is more active than the right.
You are an analyst! Left-brain dominant people tend to be more verbal, organized, and orderly than right-brain types. You are more computational, and more likely to be better at reading, writing, and problem solving than your right-brain dominant peers.
If you saw the tiger first, then you will have few problems being calculated and objective when you need to be. Some might even think of you as “cold,” but it’s just the way you approach the organization of your life. Just be sure to keep an open mind; don’t reject other people’s opinions just because they conflict with yours!
Your personality in a nutshell: You are organized, precise, goal-oriented, rational (more than emotional), logical, and live well and truly in the real world.
2. A hanging monkey
Your brain dominance: The right hemisphere of your brain is more active than the left.
You are a creative! Right-brain dominant people are visual thinkers, brimming with bright ideas. You are driven by emotions and rely upon intuition over critical thinking. You are humble and take life lessons on the chin rather than needing to be right all the time (although that’s nice too).
Sometimes, you have a tendency to drift off into the world of your imagination and could be criticized for being romantic or irrational. But the journey is more important to right-brain-dominated folk than the ultimate destination.
Your personality in a nutshell: You are impulsive, dreamy, and emotional (more than rational), creative, artistic, intuitive, and sensory.
Remember, ultimately, that nobody is governed by one side of their brain at the expense of the other. Whether you’re faced with a logical or a creative conundrum, both sides of your brain contribute to the solution.
For example, says Healthline, “the left brain is credited with language, but the right brain helps you understand context and tone.” Without both, therefore, our understanding of the world would be very one-dimensional.
The two hemispheres are a powerhouse duo, a hero and his sidekick, a gruesome twosome that work together to make you who you are.
