On Sept. 13, Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) revealed the existence of a letter in her possession detailing the allegations of an anonymous woman who had come forward to accuse Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh of having sexually assaulted her 35 years ago when they were both in high school.

Yesterday the accuser went public, revealing herself to be Professor Christine Ford of Palo Alto University in California.

Since this letter was leaked, it’s become clear that Feinstein sat on Ford’s allegations since July.

At no time during Kavanaugh’s lengthy, detailed testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee upon which Feinstein sits, did she ask Kavanaugh anything about this sexual assault allegation that she was deliberately holding back.

So what happened is that Senator Feinstein sat on this allegation for eight weeks and then produced it at literally the eleventh hour.

The Democrats tactics during these Kavanaugh hearings have been completely deplorable. Being unable to stop Kavanaugh’s march to a seat on the Supreme Court with loud, constant disruptions of the proceedings using protesters they invited into the Senate chambers, Democrats are now resorting to the vilest kind of Hail Mary.

It is now clear that under President Donald Trump, male Republican candidates for Senate or Supreme Court nominations will have to face The Accuser From A Distant Past Who Is Produced At The Eleventh Hour™ [TAFADP for short!].

These reprehensible tactics actually worked last year against Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore, which is why Democrats have trotted this strategy right back out again against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

In the Roy Moore case, the narrative was endlessly repeated that “everybody in the community knew” about the then-Senatorial candidate’s penchant for pursuing underage girls—which is an incredible lie. And no matter how many times it was repeated by serious looking media people, it remained a lie.

All during a highly controversial 40+ year public career, until 2017 never once had any sexually-related allegations been made against Moore, a man who had very powerful enemies who actually drove him from public life in Alabama not just once, but twice. During one of these hiatuses, Moore moved to Australia and actually became a champion kickboxer.

So keep that in mind this week as all the GOP Elite & Never Trump usual suspects engage in a lot of chin-stroking and pontificating about how “credible” Ford’s accusation is and therefore it’s only fair to delay Kavanaugh’s confirmation vote.

Since 1993 Justice Kavanaugh has gone through no less than five previous background checks and confirmation hearings. Just as in Roy Moore’s case, at no previous time in all those years had this or any other type of sexual allegation been made against him.

Any Republican lawmaker or supposedly conservative pundit who is still playing the Democrats’ game at this point by taking their TAFADP strategy at face value and agreeing to any delays in the Kavanaugh confirmation vote is encouraging the strategy and telling the Democrats these transparent stunts actually work.

Now Democrats are balking at having Professor Ford come in and testify this coming Monday, Sept. 24, before Congress under oath about this matter. Which is really no surprise.

According to the story Ford is telling, she cannot remember:
  1. Where the alleged assault took place. Not just which particular house. The TOWN.
  2. Who was present as the alleged assault took place. Was it 3 people or just 4?
  3. When the alleged assault took place. She can’t even narrow it down to a specific year.
The one person the accuser has named as a witness of the alleged assault has gone on the record to deny that he ever witnessed any such thing.

So of COURSE Ford does not want to testify before Congress under oath about this alleged incident, either next Monday or in December or ever. The goal is to delay the Kavanaugh vote past the midterms in the hopes the Democrats can flip the Congress, especially the Senate.

The FBI already stated there isn’t going to be any investigation opened into an incident where the alleged victim can’t even nail down the place, time, or number of people present. What could the FBI possibly do to “investigate” in such a case?

Feinstein and the Democrats who hatched this harebrained scheme are now in a total panic. They refuse to follow the process, and it’s clear this accuser never figured she'd be asked to come in and testify under oath. After all, Roy Moore was destroyed last year without any of his accusers having to be put under oath in an official proceeding.

Until a high price is exacted from the people engaging in the outrageous behavior we have been observing all through this Kavanaugh nomination, they simply will not stop. Democrats in Congress need to pay such a high price for putting the country through this insane spectacle that they are never tempted to resort to these kind of stunts ever again.

Correction: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated the date that Feinstein revealed the existence of the letter.
