The remote Alaska town of Bethel was given 10,000 free tacos from Taco Bell after a hoax claimed that the Tex-Mex chain’s franchise would open there.

There are no plans to open a Taco Bell in Bethel, but many locals apparently gorged on the tacos after they were airlifted to the town’s airport.

“You could take two if you wanted, then get back in line and take two more, as many times as you wanted,” Hugh Dyment, a former mayor of the western Alaska town of 6,200, told the Alaska Dispatch.

In the hoax, flyers were posted around Bethel, saying a Taco Bell would open up there. The flyers ended up being a prank that was set off between two residents.

A photo posted on Taco Bell’s Twitter showed a large group of people gathering outside a van emblazoned with “Doritos Locos” on its side, referring to the company’s tacos that are made from Doritos brand chips.
