Over this past weekend, there were 65 people shot in Chicago—10 of them were fatal. Some of these shootings happened while the victims were in their car by shooters who were in cars, which you might call a drive-by shooting.
According to the Chicago Tribune, 294 people have been killed this year in Chicago. In the past 365 days—meaning, going back to June of 2020—582 of those killed were black men. I have to ask a serious yet rhetorical question: do their lives matter? Do they?
