NEW YORK—During Fashion Week, trends are not only set on the runway. Each year more and more, some of the hottest new styles emerge from the streets.

People from the fashion industry and all of fashion’s favorite “it girls” are grabbing the attention of dozens of photographers just by walking by the Fashion Week tents. Streetstyle photography has turned into a serious trend-setter with its own stars.

So if you find yourself being caught in the viewfinder of some unknown person, it might be one of the following omnipresent streetstyle photographers.

Phil Oh from Streetpeeper

Phil Oh travels literally all over the world to catch fashion events or to just experience each city´s own style.

Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist

There is always something different in Scott Schuman’s pictures. It´s easy to discern his work from other streetstyle photographers, since he captures not just the clothes, but somehow also the story of the person wearing them. He takes pictures unconditionally, rather than just focus on the well-known stars.

Garance from Garance Dore

Garance Doré is your best girlfriend online, where she takes not only perfect pictures, but she does her own illustrations. Although it seems like she is not taking pictures on the streets anymore, who knows what her next project will be.

Tamu McPherson from All the Pretty Birds

A blogger plus street-style star, she is already reliable source of new trendsetters. Once you get on her site, you are part of the fashion world.

Jason Jean from Citizen Couture

Some stories behind lenses can be surprising. Jason Jean almost went blind at his job as a tax account, when he decided to explore his creative site. He has pictures of some big names from  fashion industry in his portfolio.

Yvan Rodic from Face Hunter

Yvan Rodic turned his blog into huge street-style magazine owned by Condé Nast, making him “global trend-spotter.” You might also meet him in places not normally known as fashion capitals like Reykjavik or Jakarta.

Sandra Semburg from A Love Is Blind

It’s pretty sure we will see Berlin-born Sandra Semburg at NYFW. Her site is another source to see fashionable people on the streets from all over the world, covering some not yet well-known street-style stars.

Vanessa from Vanessa Jackman

Pictures taken on film give Vanessa Jackman’s streetstyle blog her signature, vintage feel. Moreover, she goes to the trouble to put links to every piece of clothing in the picture.

Candice Lake from Candice Lake

The blog of photographer, model, and Vogue contributor Candice Lake gives you an idea of latest clothing trends as well as a good look at the recent style icons.

Craig Arend from Altamira NYC

Altamira is a great version of a models off-duty site. So unfortunately, unless you’re a model, you probably won’t find yourself there, but you can get tons of inspiration for your personal style.
