Star Wars Episode 7 rumors keep flying, stoked by recent information from Lucasfilm that the upcoming trilogy that starts with Episode VII will be set 30 years after the original trilogy.

And that it will feature a trio of young leads that are “familiar faces” to moviegoers.

The idea of three leads had contributed further to the speculation that the trilogy and Episode VII will focus on the stories of the Solo children.

Outside of the Star Wars films, there’s a whole universe of stories outlined in books and other media, including a continuation of the stories of Hans Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leai.

In the universe, Anakin Skywalker has four grandchildren--Jaina, Jacen, and Anakin Solo (the children of Hans and Leia) and Ben Skywalker, the son of Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade.

Like some of the other Jedi, Jacen is tempted by and falls to the Dark Side, reports the Daily Beast. After marrying his high school sweetheart, Jedi Tenel Ka Djo, Jacen eventually becomes Darth Caedus.

Caedus tries to rebuild the fallen empire, teaming up with a force-sensitive cyborg (who he later kills). During his exploits he kills Luke Skywalker’s wife when she tries to stop him.

Jaina Solo faced the Dark Side temptation and overcame it. She trained with Boba Fett and later became a full Jedi Master. In one of the books she eventually kills Jacen after he kidnaps his daughter and threatens to kill her if Jacen won’t join him.

One of the authors of books in the universe, Timothy Zahn, said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in 2012: “The original idea as I understood it—and Lucas changes his mind off and on, so it may not be what he’s thinking right now—but it was going to be three generations…and if there was another 7th, 8th, or 9th film, it would be Luke’s children. The Thrawn Trilogy really would have fit into the gap.”

That trilogy includes the stories of the grandchildren, including Jaina and Jacen.

As for now, there’s few concrete clues into what the trilogy, including Episode VII, will actually be about.
