Cold weather hitting much of the northern hemisphere brought rare snowfall to Saudi Arabia’s mountainous Tabuk region.

Home to the 8,460-foot Al-Lawz mountain, it snows on occasion in the northwestern area of the country. But the snow often melts away in hours.

The snow-covered desert attracted locals and visitors. Many took to social media to share videos and photos.
