Elizabeth Homcombe Copper, 73, has gone missing as of Monday night in Morganton in North Carolina, prompting police to issue a silver alert.

Cooper was last seen in the 500 block of Hopewell Road around 8 p.m. on Monday night, reports WNCN

Cooper had a hair appointment on Tuesday and never showed up, her son told authorities.

She is described as 5-foot-7, weighing 160 pounds, and having short gray hair and hazel eyes.

She may suffer from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
