GEELONG, Australia—Internationally acclaimed Shen Yun Performing Arts gave its second performance on April 4 to a full house at Costa Hall, in Geelong.
Musician and retired office worker in the finance industry, Ms. Sherpenissa, had never before seen a show like Shen Yun. She exclaimed, “It was absolutely fantastic … just awesome. Absolutely fantastic!
“I think that the finesse of the girls was the most exquisite, the costumes … I also think that it held a lot of meaning. There was a lot of meaning in it, about the tradition—the meaning of the word—it was absolutely fantastic. Actually, at one time I was crying. It was so beautiful, it was more than I had expected.”
Ms. Sherpenissa went on to say that she plays the mandolin: “I am a musician. I have bought one of the big books that had the orchestra in there. So, I would like to read about that, because I play an instrument, I play in an orchestra myself.”
The Shen Yun Performing Arts orchestral music brings together two of the world’s greatest classical music traditions, Chinese and Western, in a masterful fusion. All of the music is original and composed to fit with each dance.
