GEELONG, Australia—An enthusiastic audience filled the historic Costa Hall of Deakin University for the first show by Shen Yun Performing Arts in Geelong. In the audience was Mr. Smith, a theatrical producer of award-winning films and musicals, including Guys and Dolls. One of his films has been nominated for four AFI Awards. He owns his own production company, which is touring Australia.

Mr. Smith commended many aspects of the Shen Yun show. “I think the costumes are wonderful; the music is great, and the staging and the choreography are terrific. And of course the dancers are wonderful. It’s very, very good, very high class, very professional.”

This was Mr. Smith’s first time watching Shen Yun, and he was impressed by the format of the show, including the emcees who explained the cultural content of the performances.

Mr. Smith expressed his high regard for the production. “I just think the total professionalism and the quality of the performances are wonderful.”

"I think the music is wonderful. Was it all done by one composer? It’s wonderful, very, very good. I think they’ve done a wonderful job."
