A courthouse has reviewed its security procedures after an inmate, while still in handcuffs, escaped through the front doors of a courtroom.

Gerald Hyde II had been convicted of drug charges and was being escorted from a Washington state courthouse by guards, NBC reported.

However, in under a minute, he was spotted returning along to an empty courtroom. He then strips off his prison-issue shirt and uses it to cover his handcuffs before he heads out of the exit.

The escape took place on December of last year, but the security footage was posted online recently.
